BOOK KENNETH B. MORRIS, JR.

HISTORY, HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE POWER OF ONE

Take a living history journey with a descendant of two of America’s most influential heroes. Kenneth B. Morris, Jr. is the great-great-great-grandson of Frederick Douglass and the great-great-grandson of Booker T. Washington. Ken delivers dynamic presentations that bring history to life through the lens of family legacy, personal purpose, and the enduring call to service. He speaks candidly about the pressure of growing up in the shadow of his esteemed ancestors, and how that inheritance shaped his resolve to make a difference in the world today.

Rooted in the Black freedom-fighting tradition, Ken’s work connects the past to the present and challenges audiences to see history as a living responsibility. As Co-Founder and President of Frederick Douglass Family Initiatives, he highlights the urgent human rights issues of our time, including the work of building strong children and ending systems of exploitation and oppression. With inspiration, truth, and clarity, Ken invites each audience to step forward with courage and recognize the power of one individual to bend the moral arc toward justice.
